On October 22, 2026, during the event titled Diversified Co-innovation, Brilliant China — Forging Full-Link Synergy to Build a Pioneering Biomedical Innovation Ecosystem / Danaher Day · Jinan Station, distinguished experts and visiting guests including Rui Guozhong, Secretary-General of the Regional Coordinated Development Committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Technology Entrepreneurs and Secretary-General of the Biomedical Park Special Committee; Zhu Baoli, Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Zhang Xudong, Director of the Economic Development Bureau, Jinan International Medical Science Center Administrative Committee; and Wei Chunyan, Vice President of External Affairs at Danaher Corporation, visited Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory for a tour and exchange.
The visiting guests toured the laboratory exhibition hall and learned in detail about the laboratory’s development background, strategic positioning, operation and management mechanism, layout of scientific research platforms, development of high-level talent teams, key research priorities, progress of ongoing research projects, and the construction of the industry-university-research collaborative system. They focused on the phased scientific research achievements obtained in intestinal microbiome, tumor microbiome, infectious immunity and other fields, centered on the main lines of the association mechanisms between microbiome and major diseases, development of new precision diagnosis and treatment technologies, and translational medicine research.
During the visit, the guests listened carefully to the briefing, stopped to view the achievement displays, and conducted exchanges and discussions with laboratory staff on topics including platform operation, biobank resource development, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and the development of the biomedical innovation ecosystem.
Also participating in this activity were relevant officials from the Jinan International Medical Science Center Administrative Committee, as well as other expert and enterprise guests attending Danaher Day · Jinan Station.
