On 10 July 2026, led by Zhang Wei, Secretary of the Education Party Branch of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, and Gang Tingting, Vice-Chair of the Third Sub-Branch, a study tour delegation comprising 24 master’s and doctoral students from the university’s 2027 and 2028 graduating cohorts visited the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory to participate in a postgraduate employment study programme and a medical-industry matchmaking event. The event, which took the form of on-site study visits and targeted matchmaking sessions, effectively contributed to the cultivation of high-calibre medical talent and promoted the innovative and collaborative development of the biopharmaceutical industry.
The delegation toured the exhibition hall of the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory, gaining a systematic understanding of key aspects including the laboratory’s positioning, development plans, core research directions, technical platform construction, the transformation of industry-academia-research achievements, and talent development systems. They also focused on studying the laboratory’s cutting-edge research achievements in the field of microecological biomedicine, case studies of clinical applications, and models for industrial innovation and development.
During the study visit, the delegation engaged in detailed discussions with laboratory staff regarding the operational models of the research teams, project development processes, and the comprehensive pathways for the incubation, implementation and commercialisation of research outcomes, taking into account the development of medical specialisms, practical research applications and employment prospects within the sector. The atmosphere of the on-site study and exchange was rigorous and intensive.
Also in attendance at the event were relevant officials from Capital Medical University and the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory.
