On 16 December, the Huaiyin District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference organised a research team comprising members from the national, provincial, municipal and district levels stationed in the district. The team conducted a thematic investigation at the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory, focusing on the laboratory's construction progress and achievements in scientific research innovation. Han Jun, Chairman of the Huaiyin District CPPCC Committee and Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, participated in the investigation, accompanied by Li Xingang, Deputy Director of the laboratory.
The delegation toured the laboratory's exhibition hall and key research platforms, receiving thematic briefings on its strategic positioning, talent development, research infrastructure, and recent significant scientific advancements. They expressed keen interest in the laboratory's innovative practices, which leverage regional resources to address national strategic priorities and public health needs, and engaged in discussions regarding its platform development and collaborative innovation models.
Members emphasised that Huaiyin District consistently prioritises the integrated development of technological innovation and industrial upgrading. The Jinan Provincial Microecological Biomedical Laboratory demonstrates robust innovative momentum and significant transformation efficacy, with its development aligning with regional industrial planning. This provides strong support for Huaiyin District in establishing itself as a hub for technological innovation and cultivating new productive forces. The District CPPCC will fully leverage its role as a bridge and link, employing various methods such as consultative deliberation and policy recommendations to help optimise the innovation ecosystem. It will contribute wisdom and build consensus for the laboratory's sustained development and the effective transformation of scientific achievements.
