On 26 August, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Shandong Yellow River Delta Agricultural High-Tech Industrial Demonstration Zone, Du Guangxuan, led a delegation to visit theJinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory for an exchange. Fu Guobin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy District Head for Science and Technology of Huaiyin District, Jinan; Wang Hui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the District Science and Technology Bureau; and Li Xinguang, Deputy Director of the Laboratory, accompanied the delegation and attended the symposium.
The delegation first toured the laboratory's exhibition hall, gaining detailed insights into its development history, research directions, platform construction, talent pool, and phased achievements. They expressed high praise for the laboratory's innovative research in the field of microecological biomedicine.
During the symposium, Li Xinguang shared the laboratory's experience as a provincial-level new R&D institution in modernising management systems, adopting market-oriented operational mechanisms, and implementing flexible staffing policies. Du Guangxuan provided a detailed overview of the Agricultural High-Tech Zone's establishment background, scientific research and industrial layout, and progress in comprehensive saline-alkali land remediation. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on further collaboration in cross-disciplinary areas such as functional microorganism screening and cultivation, and the development of health products. Moving forward, all parties will jointly explore integrating the laboratory's scientific strengths with the Agricultural High-Tech Zone's industrial, spatial, and policy advantages. This collaboration aims to deepen cooperation in industrial sectors such as microbiome research and health food development, thereby contributing to socio-economic advancement.
Also attending the event were representatives from the Shandong Yellow River Delta Agricultural High-Tech Industrial Demonstration Zone and the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory.
