In order to promote the construction of youth development-friendly urban areas, deepen the cooperation between schools and local enterprises, and fully stimulate the enthusiasm of students to stay in Jinan for employment and entrepreneurship, on February 18th, the ‘Youth Dreaming in Jinan’ winter holiday ‘college students look at their hometown’ social practice activities were jointly organised by the Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of the Huaiyin District and the Wujiabao Street Office of the People's Government of the Huaiyin District. Scholars see their hometown’ social practice activities were successfully held in Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory.
At the beginning of the activity, the students visited the exhibition hall of the laboratory, and gained a deeper understanding of the background of the establishment of the laboratory, scientific research characteristics, university-enterprise cooperation mechanism and its cutting-edge research results in the field of biomedicine. The students said that the visit gave them a new knowledge and understanding of Jinan's strong strength in science and technology innovation.
At the symposium, the students first watched a promotional film titled ‘I am just fine in Jinan’. The film vividly showed Jinan's urban charm, development achievements and the advantages of talent policy, which further inspired the students' love for their hometown and strengthened their confidence in staying in Jinan.
Afterwards, the relevant persons in charge of the Service Department for College Graduates, Talent Service Department and Entrepreneurship Service Department of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of the Huaiyin District explained in detail the policy support for employment and entrepreneurship and the introduction of talents in Jinan and the Huaiyin District from the perspectives of employment subsidies, talent settlement and entrepreneurship support, which would help them plan their future career paths in a better way.
As a senior human resources expert, Liu Feng brought a professional employment guidance lecture to the students. Combining his many years of experience, he provided a series of practical suggestions for the students in terms of career planning, job-seeking skills and industry trends. He encouraged the students to seize the opportunity of biomedical development in Jinan, and actively participate in the scientific and technological construction of Jinan, so as to achieve a win-win situation between personal value and urban development.
During the free exchange session, Ge Shuwei, a student representative from Shandong First Medical University, talked about his feelings about the development of Jinan city in light of his own experience. He said that Jinan's rapid development in science and technology innovation, urban construction and other aspects is shocking, especially the establishment of Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory, which provides more development opportunities for medical students like him. He hopes that through his own efforts, he can contribute to the medical and healthcare field in his hometown in the future.
In his concluding remarks, Qiao Yong pointed out that the Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory is a strategic highland for talents in Jinan, and an important window for students to understand the strength of medical development in Huaiyin District. He expressed his hope that through visiting the laboratory, policy interpretation and career guidance, the students will have a deeper understanding of science and technology innovation and employment environment in their hometown. Huayin District will continue to deepen the cooperation between schools and enterprises, optimise the talent policy, and provide more practice opportunities and employment support for young students. Qiao Yong encouraged the students to have confidence, bravely pursue their dreams, choose Jinan, rooted in Jinan, and contribute to the development of their hometown.
