In order to do a good job in the 2025 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) declaration work and improve the quality of the project declaration, Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory held the second NSFC declaration expert counselling meeting on 24th January. Professor Hangxiang Wang, PI of the laboratory, was invited to the meeting to provide professional guidance for researchers to write the declaration. The meeting was hosted by Sun Zeyu, Director of the Department of Science and Education Development, and more than 20 researchers who are going to declare the 2025 NSFC participated in the meeting in the form of online and offline learning.
Combining his and his team's valuable experience in NSF declaration and evaluation, Professor Hangxiang Wang deeply analysed the common misunderstandings and successful cases in the process of declaration, and focused on the key points in the process of writing the abstract of project application, the basis for the project, the content of the research and the research proposal, which provided valuable guidance and help for the researchers present at the meeting.
During the discussion session, the participants asked questions and exchanged opinions on the problems and confusions encountered in the process of application, and the atmosphere was warm and cordial. Professor Wang had an in-depth interaction with the researchers and answered their questions on the choice of declaration direction, project design and declaration writing, helping them to further clarify the declaration direction and research ideas.
The in-depth, vivid and informative explanations of the experts in this training session provided valuable references and guidance for the participants, which will help them to clarify their ideas and improve the quality of the application in the subsequent application work of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The laboratory will continue to pay close attention to the progress of the application work, provide more help and guidance for the researchers, and strive to achieve excellent results in the 2025 NSF application, and further contribute more wisdom and strength to the medical and health care of Shandong Province.
