Co-hosted by Jinan Municipal People's Government, Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, Shandong Provincial Health Commission and Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Expo aims to comprehensively implement the spirit of the ‘Healthy China 2030’ Planning Outline, and promote the transformation and upgrading of Shandong's large health industry. The grand scale of this exhibition, with an exhibition area of 80,000 square metres, attracted more than 2,200 exhibitors from all over the world and about 90,000 professional visitors.
At the opening ceremony, Academician Li Lanjuan, with her profound academic background and forward-looking scientific research perspective, focused on the research field of intestinal microecology and anti-aging technology, and made an academic report entitled ‘Geriatric Intestinal Microecology and Healthy Aging’. She pointed out that with the progress of modern science and technology and the improvement of people's health consciousness, the importance of microecology research in the field of medicine is becoming more and more prominent. By regulating the micro-ecological balance of human intestinal tract, it can effectively prevent and treat many kinds of diseases and improve human health. She mentioned that the imbalance of intestinal microecology can be effectively improved by means of rational diet, supplementation of probiotics and reduction of harmful bacteria, thus enhancing human immunity, promoting nutrient absorption and reducing the risk of diseases. This health management strategy based on microecological regulation provides new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases.
As one of the highlights of the exhibition, Jinan Microecological Biomedicine Shandong Laboratory displayed a number of innovative products, including probiotic chocolates, microecological agents, anti-Helicobacter pylori herbal health products, intestinal microecology testing reagents, and hydrogel anti-bacterial haemostatic materials, amongst many other achievements. These innovations not only highlight the Laboratory's profound knowledge and excellent innovation ability in the field of microecology and biomedicine, but also inject a strong impetus to the vigorous development of the health industry.
At the exhibition site, the laboratory's booth attracted a large number of visitors to stop and consult. With professional scientific research knowledge and enthusiastic service attitude, the laboratory team provided detailed answers and demonstrations for every enquirer, which won wide acclaim. Many people inside and outside the industry highly recognised the laboratory's innovative achievements, and expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation with the laboratory and seek common development.
The exhibition is a comprehensive demonstration of the laboratory's scientific research strength and innovation ability.
