On 28th February, Jinan Microecology Biomedical Shandong Laboratory held the third meeting of the first academic committee, academician Yang Baofeng, director of the academic committee, academician Li Lanjuan, deputy director, academician Zheng Shusen, academician Zhang Yun, academician Shen Hongbing, academician Tan Weihong, academician Xu Jianguo, academician Liu Liang, academician Shang Hong, academician Wang Junzhi, Professor Zhu Baoli, Professor Li Mingding, Professor Cheng Yiyu, Professor Li Xingang, a total of 14 members attended the meeting through a combination of online and offline, and the meeting was presided over by Academician Yang Baofeng.
Academician Li Lanjuan, on behalf of the Laboratory, expressed her warm welcome to all the members and her heartfelt thanks to the members for their care and support to the Laboratory. Subsequently, Academician Li Lanjuan reported to the academic members on the construction and development of the laboratory in the current year. The report was a comprehensive summary of the laboratory's scientific research, operation and management, platform construction, talent attraction, open communication, and other aspects.
The members listened carefully to the report, and had an in-depth discussion on the laboratory's scientific research progress, development goals, future work planning, and put forward a number of forward-looking suggestions. The members unanimously agreed that the laboratory construction is fruitful, with a high starting point and a quick start, and has made gratifying achievements in scientific research, platform construction, young talent training, and external exchanges, etc. The members also expressed their hope that the laboratory will be closely integrated with the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in the future. It is hoped that the next step of the laboratory can closely integrate with the national major strategic needs, adhere to the innovation leadership, strengthen the combination of artificial intelligence and microecological medical research, highlight the microecological scientific research advantages, create a distinctive brand, make every effort to promote the construction of key disciplines, strengthen the construction of human resources, and promote the laboratory's high-quality development.
Academician Li Lanjuan once again thanked the members for their constructive guidance, and said that the laboratory will actively implement the members' opinions and suggestions, clarify the development direction of "integration of industry, academia and research", further improve the innovation and characteristics of the research, and endeavour to solve the key scientific problems of microecology and biomedicine, so as to promote the rapid enhancement of the laboratory's scientific research capability. The meeting was also attended by Jinan Microbiology and Biomedical Laboratory.
